EmUrgentCare announces 4th Birthday Celebration

EmUrgentCare announces 4th Birthday Celebration!! EmUrgentCare is marking its 4th birthday with a celebration of success. "The success of EmUrgentCare is directly related to the significant trust and warm response the community gave us when we decided to establish an urgent medical facility. Dr. Hassett and I have been welcomed with open arms and are thrilled that we were able to open this facility to help people and address a significant need," emphasized Pamela Hassett, Chief Financial Officer for the company. In four years of operation, the state of the art medical facility has registered over 25,000 individual patients with over 57,000 patient visits.

Dr. Hassett stated "We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our medical provider staff to include 4 full-time physician assistants in addition to our two board certified emergency medicine physicians." According to Dr. Hassett, this medical staff expansion allows the company to provide double practitioner coverage for all hours of operation (10am to 10pm Every Day of the Year) which means waiting times for patients will remain short, as Dr. and Mrs. Hassett promised when they opened four years ago.

Along with the success of the urgent care services provided by EmUrgentCare, Dr. Hassett announced that the occupational medicine services provided by the firm beginning more than three years ago has also been successful and welcomed by the regional business community throughout Greene, Columbia and Southern Albany Counties. According to Pamela Hassett, "We started providing pre-employment physicals and drug testing for one company back in 2004 and that has grown to 30 companies today". EmUrgentCare announced today that the occupational medicine services division of EmUrgentCare will be expanded and now called OccMedCare with a tag line of "where business strengthens". This tag line illustrates how pre-employment physicals, drug testing, physical agility testing, and employee education programs can help strengthen and enhance the success of a business’ workforce. Dr. Hassett announced that with the increase of staff, EmUrgentCare has the ability to heighten the volume and level of occupational services it can provide. The company recently added physical agility testing to its menu of services.

Importantly, Dr. Hassett is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), and has completed several training programs related to occupational medicine that put EmUrgentCare on the cutting edge. Also in the arena of cutting edge activity, according to Dr. Hassett, "We are also pleased to announce that we have developed a web based occupational medicine management software program that will be launched shortly. This program will streamline scheduling of occupational medicine appointments as well as provide automatic notice of required tests including random drug screen selection, provide a mechanism for transmitting data between OccMedCare and the employers we provide services to, and provide reports and tracking information that will be valuable to the companies we serve." The Hassett’s are not aware of another software package that can perform these tasks and they are very excited about being able to provide this progressive service to companies in Greene County.

Dr. and Mrs. Hassett are very active in understanding the opportunities regarding growth along the 9W corridor and are positioning the company to be able to keep up with that growth. Pamela Hassett added, "We recognized the significant need for medical services in Greene County and that is why we started EmUrgentCare. We continue to recognize the gaps in medical care in this community and we are doing everything we can to help provide those services. This is the reason we are stepping up the size and scope of occupational medicine services provided by OccMedCare through EmUrgentCare. We also have many other grand plans that will be presented as the opportunity arises"

"We are thrilled that we found thie Town of Coxsackie to start our business and grow our family. We are more thrilled with the warm reception, trust, and respect we found from the wonderful people who make up this community, and the surrounding areas. We look forward to making any positive contributions as we look ahead to a very exciting future," concluded Dr. and Pamela Hassett.
